Indonesia’s Shrimp Production Is Successful During the Pandemic Period!

Indonesia’s shrimp production scored a success during the pandemic, reaching USD 2.23 billion. With conditions getting better, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries targets a 30% surge in shrimp exports by 2022.

KKP itself has launched the millennial shrimp farming movement, or called MSF (Millennial Shrimp Farming). With this movement, it is hoped that millennials will begin to go down to the wetlands for shrimp farming.

External support such as human resources skills, regulations that facilitate and access to sources of capital are also needed to realize a surplus of shrimp production.
